About the Role:

Compacting Tooling Inc is looking for a skilled EDM Wire Operator to join our precision manufacturing team in McKeesport, PA. Responsibilities:

• Set up, program, and operate EDM wire cutting machines to produce precision components
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to meet tight tolerances
• Monitor machine operations and make adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency
• Perform routine machine maintenance, including wire threading and electrode changes
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
• Maintain accurate production logs and documentation for quality control purposes
• Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area

Requirements:

• Prior experience operating EDM wire cutting equipment in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
• Proficiency with precision measuring tools and quality inspection techniques
• Familiarity with CNC programming and machine controls is a plus
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to tight tolerances and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced shop environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical training preferred
